“Growing up in Germany, where car culture shapes everyday life, the object became a way to reflect on excess.”
What excited me most was working with materials that already carried a story. The car parts I reimagined still held traces of movement and use. Growing up in Germany, where car culture shapes everyday life, the object became a way to reflect on excess. Transforming these discarded materials into a sculptural form allowed me to slow them down, shifting them from symbols of progress into witnesses of environmental and social impact.
